We came flyin' down
My two wheels and I
To a pleasure faire ground
Lazy day
Knew nobody there
And caught me in her stare
And the band began to play a melody
And we sang a lover's song in harmony
Ferris wheel
People laughin' loud
Beginning to feel
Like I really belonged
Southern wind
Dancin' in the trees
Above it all
I could still hear her song
And across the sky the clouds were rolling in
And the sunlight on the faces growing dim
And the vendors cried out,
"Help it's going to rain!"
As I ran to take her hand before it came
Fallin' rain
Sunday fade away
Leavin' my life in
Complete disarray
Muddy field
